It's threaded on and head in place with some Loc Tite thread locker. Totally inadequate.

Comments about Allparts 'The Key' Floyd Rose Intonation Tool: This is a tool designed with a right purpose in mind but without much thought given to its applicability on slightly different configurations. I have an Ibanez prestige series guitar and after buying this one I found this tools just isn't applicable on my Floyd rose. I had to create a complex mesh of wires around this thing to ultimate get some use out of it. It was only slightly less painful than the hit and trial process of intonation (but probably much more accurate, to some consolation). The head of this little tool is glued on the attached screw.
So if you want to turn it anticlockwise, you may just have it come off as it did for me. Good thought, bad execution. I even looked up videos on youtube and this thing is useless. You're better of just loosening the string A LOT and then making the adjustments you need.
The key did not allow me to make any kind of adjustments. If you're not careful you'll scratch up your floyd rose. The little end piece you use to make the adjustments screws off as well. I'll be returning my soon.
